Vigzar MedCare — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Vigzar Technologies ("we", "our", "us") handles information in connection with the Vigzar MedCare mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Our Core Privacy Promise

Your health data is yours — always.

Vigzar MedCare is built on an offline-first, privacy-by-design architecture. Your medications, health records, family profiles, and personal health information are stored exclusively on your device. We do not upload, sell, rent, or share your health data with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers — ever.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide

When you use the App, you may provide:

Medication details — names, dosages, schedules, and instructions
Family member profiles — names and health-related information for family members you manage
Health records — prescriptions, medical notes, reports, and documents you choose to store
Doctor information — contact details and appointment records you enter manually
Emergency information — health details you choose to record for emergency reference

All of this information is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. It does not leave your device unless you explicitly initiate a backup.

2.2 Authentication Information

We use Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In) for account creation and login. When you sign in with Google, we receive your:

Google account email address
Display name
Profile photo URL (for display purposes only)

This information is used solely for account identification and is not combined with your health data.

2.3 Backup Data

If you choose to enable Google Drive Backup, an AES-encrypted copy of your health data is sent directly to your personal Google Drive account. We have no access to this backup file. It is encrypted on your device before transmission, and only you hold the decryption key.

2.4 Analytics (Aggregated & Anonymous)

We may collect anonymous, non-identifiable analytics such as:

App crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)
General feature usage patterns (e.g., how many users set reminders)

This data cannot be linked to your identity or your health information. It is used solely to improve App stability and user experience.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to:

Provide and improve the App's core functionality
Authenticate your account securely
Enable optional encrypted cloud backup to your own Google Drive
Fix bugs and improve performance using anonymous crash reports
Respond to your support requests

We do not use your information for:

Advertising or marketing
Sale to third parties
Building user profiles for commercial purposes
Training AI models on your personal data

4. Data Storage & Security
4.1 Local Storage

All health data is stored locally on your device using:

Hive Database — a fast, lightweight local database
AES-256 Encryption — industry-standard symmetric encryption
Secure key management — encryption keys are stored in your device's secure storage
4.2 Encryption in Transit

When backup is enabled, data is encrypted on your device before transmission using AES encryption. The encrypted payload is then transmitted over HTTPS to your personal Google Drive.

4.3 No Central Server

Vigzar MedCare does not operate a central health data server. We do not store your health records on our infrastructure.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

Google Firebase — For authentication and optional anonymous crash analytics
Google Drive API — Only if you explicitly enable backup, and only to your own Drive
Legal compliance — If required by applicable law or a valid legal order

All third-party services we use are governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy for information about how Google handles data.

6. Your Rights & Controls

You have full control over your data at all times:

Access — All your data is on your device. You can view it at any time within the App.
Export — You can export your health records from within the App.
Delete — Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. You can also delete individual records or your entire profile from within the App.
Backup control — Backup is optional. You can enable, disable, or delete backups at any time from your Google Drive.
Account deletion — You may delete your authentication account from the App settings. This removes your authentication record from Firebase.

7. Children's Privacy

Vigzar MedCare is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at privacy@vigzar.com and we will promptly address the situation.

The App does allow creation of child profiles for parents managing their children's medications. This data is stored locally on the parent's device and is subject to the same privacy protections described in this policy.

8. Offline Operation

A core feature of Vigzar MedCare is offline-first operation. The App is designed to function fully without an internet connection. Reminders fire locally, records are accessible offline, and no data is transmitted without your action.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document
Notify you within the App when you next open it
Where required by law, seek your consent

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
